Testimonials from some of our beneficiaries:

“Working with the Brighton & Hove Property Consortium team and the amazing cyclists over the past 4 years has been a wonderful experience for our Mayors and the Civic Office; the incredible amounts raised have hugely boosted the Mayor’s Charities fund every year and has been of terrific benefit to some very worthy causes in the city.”

Brighton & Hove City Council – Mayor’s Office

“Rockinghorse Children’s Charity are one of the four chosen charities of Mayor of Brighton and Hove, Councillor Dee Simson for her mayoral term 2018-2019. As part of this partnership we’re delighted to be receiving a share of the funds raised by the Seven Port Challenge taking place in May. Events like this raise valuable funds for us to be able to improve the lives of sick children in Sussex. Rockinghorse works in partnership with medical staff at The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and other Sussex hospitals to identify projects which focus on improving children’s physical and emotional well-being. The Seven Port Challenge will help us fund equipment such as Physiotherapy equipment which will reduce the pain and discomfort of young patients. We’re also currently raising money for The Children and Young Person’s Diabetes Team at The Alex, who support 200 young people every year with type 1 diabetes. With the funds raised by challenges like this we can make sure the team have enough equipment to meet demand and young patients are equipped with the necessary tools to help them manage their blood sugar levels.

“We are over the moon that the Brighton & Hove Property Consortium have created the Seven Port Challenge charity cycle ride.  The bike ride will impact us as a local charity like you can’t imagine. We will be able to help so many homeless people and those on the edge of society.  Thank you so much for making a great difference, for every company who gets involved and to everyone who donates. We can make that money stretch and make a great impact in the city.”
