Testimonials

Chris Oakley, Oakley Property:

“2018 was our third year as sponsor of the Brighton & Hove Property Consortium’s Charity Cycle Ride.  From a sponsorship point of view, the event has without doubt raised the profile of our business in the local community and enabled us to network with business contacts we may not have necessarily come across if I hadn't literally got on my bike and got out there!”

Simon Bareham, Lewis & Co Planning South East Limited:

“The cycle rides have been a great way to make new contacts within the property industry, and to reinforce existing contacts.  Spending two or three days in everyone’s company, and helping each other out, is a very positive experience.  On a personal note, the cycle ride has inspired new levels of fitness within Lewis and Co Planning.  We can’t vouch for any productivity improvements, but our waistlines have benefitted!”

Simon Pilbeam, Pilbeam Construction Ltd:

"The Brighton & Hove Property Consortium charity cycle events provide a wonderful opportunity for local businesses and their staff to contribute to local society, particularly the disadvantaged, whilst having a great time keeping fit and exploring the countryside in our region and beyond.

The adventure creates a great sense of camaraderie among the participants and organisers and develops relationships, new and old, into something far greater than those developed in the normal working environment and puts organisations at the forefront of social giving.

Apart from the business and charity aspects, the initiative encourages people to get involved in exercise, keeping fit and maintaining a healthy lifestyle with two of our staff having caught the ‘cycling bug’ due to involvement in these rides.

As a direct result of connections on the rides we are now in negotiations with a contact from the 2017 trip and hope that this will result in an order for a high profile new building in excess of £1million in value in the greater Brighton and Hove area."
